It was a few years back when I first ran into Toby, ducking in and out of shelter through snow squalls, a lone figure weathering the December cold of the North West. Over the next few weeks he would appear in the same fashion, quietly unannounced, putting in the time where most would not. Dedicated to capturing the moods he saw, his style has developed to reflect the surrounds he has grown up with. Since then he's treaded the line between the vogue of cliched wanderlust and the hardcore surf scene with a maturity beyond his years.
